Thank you for visiting our website. It is our hope that after browsing this website, you will make a reservation to come and visit our campsite and RV park. AuSable River Campsite is one of the few parks in the Adirondacks that is family-owned and family-operated. We have operated AuSable River Campsite since 1999 and each year our experience and the experiences of our campers has gotten better. We pride ourselves on making our campground a family-friendly and pet-friendly park. As owners, we reside in a seasonal camper to be amongst our guests. You will see us riding our golf carts around the campsite as we frequently stop in to visit with campers to ensure their stay is enjoyable.
Having 120 campsites means we are large enough to accommodate groups and small enough to make your stay personal. Many of our staff members are also seasonal campers, which means they are available to help you at almost any time, day or night. We have staff members who ride around the campground with firewood and it is not uncommon for them to deliver bags 
of ice right to your campsite. As a family-friendly campground, we do enforce quiet hours between 11:00 pm and 8:00 am (visit our Rules & Policies page for more information). This doesn't mean you can't sit around your campfire after 11pm, it just means we require you keep the noise down to be respectful of other campers who may be trying to sleep.
Camping should be a fun and enjoyable experience. At AuSable River Campsite, we try hard to make our guests' stay a good one. Some of the ways we try to do this is by offering simple "extras" you won't find at many of the "corporate-run" campgrounds, such as: free hay rides every weekend, ice cream socials, bands at the pavilion, horseshoe tournaments and much more (see our Events Calendar or Recreation Schedule for more details). If you are not having a good time, please seek us or a staff member out and let us know why. If there is something we can fix to make your stay better, we will do what we can to make you a "Happy Camper."

Our first visit to AuSable River Campsite was during the July 4th weekend of 2008. We ended up renting one the the park's campers, which was very clean and had working AC (of which we were very thankful because it was a very hot weekend). On Saturday, we went canoeing, then enjoyed the live band at the pavilion. Everyone was so friendly, we came back and spent a week at the campsite later in the year. We liked it so much, we decided to become seasonal campers for 2009, which was the best summer we've had for many, many years. Bob and Josie are great owners who run a fantastic campsite.
